Mandya: In a tragic incident, a 13-year-old boy drowned in a lake at Basavanagudi Koppalu in Nagamangala taluk on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Anand. The incident took place when he had gone to an agriculture field along with his mother.
While the woman was busy with agriculture activities, Ananda went to a nearby lake to swim and drowned as he did not know how to swim.
A case with this regard has been registered with the Nagamangala Rural police.
