Mangaluru: The city police have arrested three persons on Tuesday for attempting to rape and murder three minor girls here.
The arrested suspects are Ugganabail, Pavoor resident Kiran Kumar (26), Ugganabail Bangarapade resident Gunapal (25) and Neermarga Vantemar resident Subhash (29).
Speaking in this regard Commissioner of Police, Mangaluru Dr PS Harsha said, “Three persons have been arrested for attempting to rape and murder three minor girls in Konaje area today.”
A case in this regard has been registered against the three accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
