Mangaluru: A woman suspiciously moving around in the city’s Alake area was taken into custody by police after locals reported her suspecting her to be a child abductor.
This incident comes on the same day (January 14) when an attempt to abduct a boy from near Konchadi Mahalasa temple was also reported.
It was learnt that the woman was from northern India and was begging money from homes with Gujarati residents in the area.
She was also accused of taking photos of children playing and sending them to others on her WhatsApp.
The police, however, released her from custody later after issuing a warning as no complaint was lodged against her.
