Mangaluru: Bank employee gets fake, elongated Rs 50 note

Mangaluru: An incident of a faulty Rs 50 note has come to notice of a bank employee. The note is 1.5 cm longer than the existing new Rs 50 notes.
K Vikram Naik, a retired bank employee said that he noticed the unusual note in one of the bundles he had withdrawn from the bank on Tuesday, January 28.
The length of a Rs 50 note is 13.5 cm, however, the note in Naik’s bundle was almost 15 cm – and an additional length of 1.5 cm.
Naik concluded that this must be a printing error.
