Mangaluru: BC Road-Kottigehara section of NH 73 to be closed till July 18

Mangaluru: In an order issued on June 25, the Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh has stated that the BC Road-Kottigehara section of NH 73 will be closed till July 18 due to the ongoing concretisation and curing works on the road.
As a result road diversions have been effected and alternative routes have been arranged.
Light vehicles including two-wheelers, cars, minitrucks, ambulances and buses travelling from Mangaluru to Punjalkatte and must travel via the Mangaluru-BD Road-Bantwal town-Jakribeetu road (same route in reverse when travelling Punjalkatte to Mangaluru).
Light vehicles travelling from Mangaluru to Guruvayanakere must travel via the Mangaluru-BC Raod-Mani-Uppinangadi(SH-118)-Karaya-Kalleri-Guruvayanakere (same route in reverse when travelling Guruvayanakere to Mangaluru).
Additionally, light vehicles travelling from Mudabidri to BC Road must travel via Mudabidri-Bantwal Junction-NH 73-Jakrikatte-Bantwal town-BC Road.
All heavy vehicles including Tankers, Container trucks, Multi-axle vehicles, Trailers and Heavy buses will be prohibited from using these alternative routes.
