Ullal: The Dakshina Kannada district Health Department and the Police Department have jointly set up a COVID-19 monitoring unit in Talapady on Friday and started testing passengers arriving from Kerala
This was done in the backdrop of increasing COVID-19 cases in the district.
Initially, the checking of all vehicle passengers at the new unit caused long queues at the border. Hence, later, the police started doing random testing of vehicles’ passengers instructing all that next time they must possess a negative COVID-19 report to enter the district.
