Mangaluru: COVID-19 stats as on Apr 16

Mangaluru: No new COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in the Dakshina Kannada district since April 5.

In the daily official COVID-19 statement released by the Deputy Commissioner’s office it was stated that till April 16, 39,032 people have been screened in the district.

Also, on April 16, 15 in quarantine at ESI Hospital, Mangaluru, have been discharged and 5276 people completed the 28 day home quarantine without any COVID-19 symptoms.

24 samples were sent for testing on the day and 113 test reports were received, all negative.

With 9 people from the initial 12 COVID-19 positive patients discharged after recovery, the total count of positive stands 3.

The statement adds that more than 30,000 families have been surveyed by AHSA and MPW workers and the collected data has been computerized for use in formulating plans to control the spread of the virus.
