Mangaluru: Driver killed, 2 injured after tempo crashes into electric pole

Mangaluru: One person was killed while two others were injured after the tempo they were traveling in crashed into an electric pole near Karnad industrial area on Thursday, June 30.
The deceased has been identified as Yashawantharaya (43), a resident of Bijapur Colony, and a native of Kalburgi.
It is said that the incident occurred when the tempo ferrying daily wagers to work lost control and crashed into an electric pole.
While the driver, Yashawantharaya succumbed to his injuries, two others Bhagavantharaya (60) and Kumara (45) are being treated at a nearby hospital.
