Mangaluru: Eid Al-Fitr to be celebrated on May 24

Mangaluru: Prominent Islamic clergies in the district Qazi Bekal Ibrahim Musliyar and Qazi Twaqa Ahmad Musliyar have asked followers to celebrate the Eid Al-Fitr festival on Sunday, May 24.

This follows the earlier diktat by them that celebrations of Ramzan must be done in the homes and as per lockdown guidelines set by authorities.

Eid Al-Fitr is celebrated after sighting the Shawwal moon. No proper sightings of the moon has occured yet.
