Mangaluru: Folk Singer, Padma Shri Sukri Bommagowda discharged from hospital

Mangaluru: Padma Shri awardee Sukri Bommagowda who was hospitalized last week after she faced breathing-related issues has been discharged on Friday, May 13.
Sukri Bommagowda was receiving medical treatment at the KMC Hospital in Mangaluru for breathing problems and occasional dizziness. A procedure to insert a pacemaker was also carried out on May 8.
She was being treated by a team of doctors including Dr. Narasimha Kamath, Dr. Padmanabha Kamath, and Dr. Rakesh.
Also, Prakash Kotian and Kalpana Kotian of the Moolatva foundation have offered to drop Sukri Bommagowda to her house in Ankola.
Belonging to the Halakki Vokkaliga tribe in Ankola, Sukri Bommagowda is a well-known folk singer. She has received several awards for her contributions to the arts, and her work in preserving traditional tribal music.
