Puttur: A KSRTC bus conductor committed suicide by jumping into the Netravati river here due to alleged harassment by his higher officers.

The deceased identified as Balakrishna was attached to the Puttur depot of KSRTC.

Balakrishna left behind a death note alleging constant harassment by higher officers which drew him to take the extreme step.

Further, he has urged his children to take good care of their mother following his death in the note.

Balakrishna is said to have jumped into the river from the railway bridge as authorities have erected fences on Netravati bridge here in order to curb the number of suicides.
