Mangaluru: Lucky escape for passengers as coconut tree falls on moving bus

Mangaluru: Passengers and staff of a private bus escaped unhurt after a coconut tree fell on the vehicle near Mallikatta Dwara, Mangalore.

It is said that the tree fell on the power cables and severed the cables before falling on the city bus bearing No 15.

All the passengers in the bus were unharmed in the incident.

Former MLC Ivan D’Souza and former mayor Shashidhar Hegde visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
