Mangaluru: Man pulls a knife on KSRTC bus driver; arrested

Mangaluru: Police officials have arrested a man who assaulted a KSRTC bus driver and tried to attack him with a knife on Friday near Kannur, Mangalore
The accused has been identified as Soheef (19), Resident of Adyar. It is said Raju Gajakosha, KSRTC bus driver of Puttur depot was traveling from Puttur to Mangalore as usual.
When he reached Kannur, Soheef in his two-wheeler tried overtaking the bus and was riding rashly. Later, he stopped his scooter in front of the bus and began abusing Raju.
When questioned, Soheef brought a knife from his scooter and tried attacking Raju, luckily he escaped. Locals then came to Raju’s rescue and Soheef was arrested by the Police officials.
A case has been registered in Kankanady Police station.
