Mangaluru: Masked church burglar caught on CCTV

Mangaluru: The masked face of the person who robbed the office in the St Sebastian Church at Bendur here has been caught by a CCTV camera in the church.
The robber had decamped with cash of about Rs 4.98 lakhs and a gold chain belonging to the priest of the church on the morning of Monday, April 5.
A statement from the church said that the robber had visited the church earlier and had noticed the activities in the church’s offices. He entered the office when the priest had left for his morning Mass service, broke open the locker in the room, obtained the keys to the cupboard from them and stole the money and the priest’s gold chain kept in the cupboard.
The church officials had registered a case at the Kadri police station.
