Mangaluru: Police arrest nine in serial robbery incidents

Mangaluru: Nine persons have been arrested by police in connection with the recent serial robbery incidents reported in the district.

The arrested are identified as Abdul Rauf (24), Ramamurthy (23), Ashraf Peradi (27), Santosh (24), Naveed (36), Ramanand (48), Suman (24), Siddique (27) and Alikoya.

Between March 27-31, four theft incidents were reported from Moodabidri, Mulki and Bajpe police limits.

The arrested accused were involved in robberies in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Hassan and Bengaluru districts.

Police confiscated two swords, an air gun, iron rod, knife, and wooden rods among other things found in possession of the accused.
