Mangaluru: Police here seized a minitruck for illegally carrying cows concealed under vegetable crates in the early hours of Sunday, October 25.
After receiving a tip-off by Bajrang Dal workers, police planned the operation. They stopped the vehicle near Pumpwell and on checking found the cows hidden under the vegetable crates.
There were reports earlier of cows and bovine meat illegally carried in milk carrying vans and fish carrying trucks being caught by police.
