Mangaluru Police starts COVID-19 aid coordination platform ‘Samanvaya’

Mangaluru: City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar on Friday inaugurated ‘Samanvaya’ a platform for coordinating aid to COVID-19 infected and affected in the city.
In a statement, the city police said that as there are many people and organisations involved in aiding the needy during this crisis such as supplying medical items, providing free food, ambulance service and telemedicine services. There is a need to ensure coordination and seamlessness in their activity. Hence, the department is starting the ‘Samanvaya’ platform to cater to them.
Indians abroad wishing to be involved in such activity can call the number 9480802300 for providing support and materials to any organisation involved in relief work or directly to the person affected by COVID-19.
Commissioner Shashi Kumar also participated in a webinar during the inauguration of the platform and spoke to several non-resident Indians and noted their suggestions and advice for improving aid and support operations in the city.
