Mangaluru: Police officials have arrested a 30-year-old man for allegedly raping a woman at the NITK beach in Suratkal, Mangaluru.
The arrested accused has been identified as Munaf Ahmed (30).
On June 27, the victim was at the NITK beach with her friend. Munaf who saw the duo approached them, threatened the victim’s friend, and asked her to leave. He then raped the woman and also filmed the act.
It is said that the accused blackmailed the woman with her video.
The victim then filed a police complaint.
