Manipal: Locals have reported sightings of a leopard in the Eshwar Nagar area of Manipal, causing fear among residents. However, no official complaints have been made to the Forest Department.

Previously, a leopard was seen in the Perampalli and Ananthanagar areas, with CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts confirming the sightings.

There is growing concern among the public whether it is the same leopard moving across different parts of Manipal or if there are multiple leopards.

The Forest Department has intensified patrolling in Manipal and set up traps to capture the elusive leopard.
