Massive protest in Kundapur by HJV; three held for raising slogans against Prophet Mohammad

Kundapur: Police officials have arrested three persons for raising slogans against prophet Mohammad during a massive protest rally held in Gangolli by Hindu Jagarana Vedike against Cattle theft, slaughter on October 1.
The accused have been identified as Naveen, Ambareesh and Parvish. Also, 8 other people were arrested for violating Covid norms by gathering people for the protest.
Three others Majid, Iftkar and Tabeesh were arrested for crowding on September 28 without permission.
Three separate cases have been registered at Gangolli police station.
On October 1, a massive protest was held by Hindu Jagarana Vedike against cattle theft and slaughter at Gangolli in the Taluk.
Thousands including women took part in the protest march from port office to Ram Mandir. Also, Gangolli town was closed voluntarily by the traders.
