Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol announced that the State government has planned a massive project of redeveloping State Highways at an estimated cost of Rs 3,500.

He added that roads especially those in flood-hit parts of the State are in a dire state and require immediate repairs. Complaints have even been raised about this by many MLAs as well.

“Once all the approvals are granted and the consultants are selected, which should be done before March 5, the e-procurement and tendering process will begin,” he added.

“The works should be completed before the arrival of the monsoons, however, if there will be any pending works then it will be done after September,” Karjol said.
