‘Mega vaccination drive’ underway: over 6.59 lakh doses administered

Bengaluru: Mega vaccination drive is underway across the state and as of 12.30 pm, 6,59,834 doses of vaccine were administered in Karnataka.
The state targets 31.75 lakh vaccination doses to be administered today. As much as 20.8 per cent of the total target set for the day is achieved so far.
Around 99,010 doses have been administered so far in the BBMP limits in Bengaluru. Shivamogga has achieved achieving 46 per cent of the set target, Ramanagara has achieved 39 per cent, and Tumakuru 37 per cent.
Karnataka on Thursday registered 1,108 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 18 deaths, taking the total number of infections to 29,65,191 and toll to 37,555.
The day also saw 809 discharges, taking the total number of recoveries in the state so far to 29,11,434.
