Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakuamra has urged the men of the state to purchase their own tickets from the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).

The Deputy CM said that in order for the KSRTC to run successfully, all men have to purchase their own tickets. His comments came after a few men questioned why only free tickets were provided for the women.

In a bid to uphold its commitments to the citizens, the government has successfully implemented five significant guarantees in the state. Starting from the 11th of this month, women will now enjoy the convenience of free bus passes, enabling them to travel without any financial burden, said DK Shivakumar.

He further added that the public’s response to these initiatives has been overwhelmingly positive, he added.
