Mentally ill man from Kalaburagi commits suicide

Hyderabad/Kalaburagi:  A 35-year-old man from Kalaburagi district of Karnataka allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday, January 15 by hanging himself from a tree at a burial ground here, police said.

AV Kumar, reportedly not of sound mind, was brought by his family members to the Institute of Mental Health here, the police said.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Kumar had reportedly been telling his family members that he would end his life, they said.

A case has been registered, the police added.
