
Minister Dr. Ashwath Narayan releases RT-PCR kit to test monkeypox

Bengaluru: State Science and Technology Minister Dr Ashwath Narayan on Friday released an RT-PCR kit developed for testing monkeypox.
The kit is developed by Dr Prabhakar Kulkarni of NeoDx Biotech Labs Pvt Ltd.
Similarly, to detect cancer in the initial stage an instrument named Onco DX has also been launched. Likewise, several such products were released.
The products are developed by startups under Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC), falling under the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS).
During the launch, the MD of BBC Dr Jitendra Singh and others were present.
Meanwhile, Dr Ashwath Narayan laid the foundation stone for the new building of Centre for Human Genetic (CHG) Research and Training Centre at Helix Park of Electronic City.
