MLA Bharath Shetty meets DC, seeks exemption in curfew for religious activities

Mangaluru: BJP MLA Bharat Shetty on Saturday met Deputy commissioner (DC) Dr. Rajendra K V to discuss the effects of night curfew on religious activities.
Bharat Shetty said that an appeal needs to be made to the Chief Minister to provide exemptions in curfew for religious activities in the district with all the Covid-19 protocols in place.
Also, many events were canceled last year due to Covid-19 and the dates of the events have also been finalized. However, the final call will be taken by the state government, he said.
