M’luru, Udupi: No new COVID-19 +ve case for 4th straight day

Mangaluru, Udupi: For the fourth consecutive day no new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the twin districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.

In Mangaluru, as of Wednesday, April 8, eight COVID positive are undergoing treatment.

Nine samples were sent for testing at the new laboratory in Wenlock, their results are awaited. Seven samples were sent outside for testing, all tested negative.

In Udupi too no new positive cases were detected. Presently, only three positive cases are undergoing treatment here.

On April 7, six people were admitted to isolation wards, four of them were suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Illness (SARI).

Fifty three samples test report were received, all tested negative. About three samples were collected on April 8.
