Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s forthcoming movie Monster seems to have hit a hurdle just before its release.  As per reports, the Malayalam movie is facing a ban in the GCC for its LGBT content.

The movie is set for release to a worldwide audience on October 21. The opening day box office earnings are expected to fall, as the Gulf region is a huge market for Malayalam films because of its Malayali diaspora.

Meanwhile, the film’s creators have reportedly opted to make necessary revisions for necessary screening approvals. So, audiences in the Gulf will have to wait a little longer.

Directed by Vysakh, Monster is billed as a crime thriller. Mohanlal plays the role of Lucky Singh, a shadowy figure. The cast of Monster also includes Telugu star Lakshmi Manchu, Lena, Honey Rose, Sudev Nair, and Siddique.
