
Moneylenders allied with pvt schools in K’taka are offering ‘fee loans’

Bengaluru: Education Minister Suresh Kumar has stated that many private schools in the State have made parents pay the fees of their children by extending loans to them from private money lenders associated with the schools.
The minister claimed that he has already received complaints regarding such activities and added that it’s a shame that schools have turned themselves into a moneylending shop.
He further said that notices will be sent to such private schools soon.
Speaking on the issue of fee payment, he said that private schools and parents of students must discuss and settle the issue considering the present financial crisis induced by the lockdown.
