Mother dies 4 days post delivery; medical negligence alleged

- Woman dies while being shifted to another hospital for treatment
Belthangady: A mother died just four days after delivering her baby on Monday August 13th.
The deceased woman has been identified as Shabana Bhanu (28), wife of Rauf from Laila. She is originally from Panemangaluru near Bantwal.
The family of the deceased have alleged medical negligence and lodged a police complaint here. A case of unnatural death has been registered by the police and is currently investigating it.
On August 10th, Shabana delivered a baby in a private hospital near Beltangady. But on Monday she developed health complications and was asked to be taken to Mangaluru. She breathed her last when she was en-route to the hospital in Mangaluru.
