Moving car catches fire near M G Road

Mangaluru: A moving car caught fire near here at M G Road on Thursday.
It has been reported that a Hyundai Santro was gutted with fire as the owner was driving. The Bangalore registered car (KA 03 Z 6079) driven by Raghuram, an elderly man. He escaped with no injuries.
Auto drivers and locals who were gathered at the spot tried to douse the fire.
The fire brigade later arrived at the spot and put out the flames.
Short circuit in the electrical system of the car is suspected to be the cause of the fire.
