Bhopal: As the BJP is set to form the government in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, celebrations broke out at the saffron party’s state headquarters here, with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan taking part in it.
The celebrations broke out at Deendayal Parisar, the party’s headquarters in the city, with the party workers bursting crackers and distributing sweets. They waved the saffron flag and held placards with pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing a gathering, Chouhan attributed the “victory” to the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hard work of BJP chief Amit Shah.
“Narendra Modi ji is a synonym of development and gift of God to the country. Under his leadership, the country would realise the dream of becoming the vishwa guru (world leader). The victory in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh is the result of his incredible leadership and the hard work of Amit Shah (BJP chief),” Chouhan told the gathering.
When asked about Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Chouhan refused to comment saying people have already given a “befitting reply” by electing the BJP.
