MRPL resumes production in its units

Mangaluru: More than a month after production was suspended at units one and three of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) owing to scarcity of water and annual maintenance purpose respectively, the concern has resumed its operations normally now.
The production in the first unit was brought to a halt on May 10 while production at the third unit was suspended earlier during the third week of April. The firm however had said that the shutdown would not result in shortage of petrol and diesel as it had produced additional quantum of these items in advance, in anticipation of water problem.
Since some amount of supply of water is now being supplied to the company, production has commenced at both these units.
