Bengaluru: Mangaluru Urban Development Authority’s (MUDA) commissioner GT Dinesh Kumar’s wife has accused him of trying to kill her with a spiked drink on Friday night.
She has registered a complaint regarding this at the Rajarajeshwari Nagar police station here.
In her complaint, she has also alleged that Kumar and his elder brother’s wife used to harass her for dowry.
She has alleged that on January 22, Kumar had made her drink a fruit juice at their Rajarajeshwari Nagar residence. He left immediately after she consumed the drink.
About 30 minutes later she lost consciousness and fell but was awake soon after. Realising that the juice was spiked she called her parents who arrived from Chitradurga and took her to a hospital.
Police have started investigating based on her complaint and the hospital’s memo and have stated that Kumar’s whereabouts are presently unknown and his phone is switched off.
Kumar and his wife were married in 2015 and have two daughters.
