Murder accused drowns while rescuing a chicken

Kasargod: A youth who is the primary accused in a murder case died while attempting to rescue a chicken that had fallen into the well at Kasargod.
The deceased is Mangad Aryadka Prijit (28) who was accused in the murder case of CPI(M) activist M Balakrishna back in 2013.
Reports reveal that Prajit jumped into the well to rescue a chicken that had fallen in. He made severalattempts to climb out with the rope locals threw at him but unfortunately he could not make it.
Fire personnel later arrived to the scene and pulled Prajit out. He was rushed to the hospital but hecould not be saved.
A case has been with the Bekal police.
