Muthoot Finance to donate fully automatic wheelchairs to people with disabilities in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Muthoot Finance, India’s largest gold loan NBFC is providing fully automated electronic wheelchairs to persons with severe disabilities, who are unable to move with a manual wheelchair and are totally dependent on others.
The age group eligible is between the ages of 12 to 40. The company is inviting people with severe disabilities to apply for this benefit.
People residing in Bengaluru can apply for automated electronic wheelchairs. The documents required to apply for this include
1. BPL card,
2. Aadhaar card,
3. Permanent Disability Certificate from the authorized Medical Board
4. A recommendation letter from your local people’s representative not below the rank of
Panchayat President/Councilor
5. Medical Certificate from the doctor treating the person
The company has distributed automated wheelchairs in the past in Kerala and now has plans to expand this initiative in other states as well.
In Kerala, the company has distributed automated wheelchairs in Cochin and Trivandrum and now the distribution will be carried out for the disabled people residing in the Bangalore area.
To avail the benefit, people need to send the applications to the below address on or before 31st July 2021;
