Mysuru: Cow dies after eating explosive-filled ball in HD Kote

Mysuru: A cow died after eating a ball of explosives wrapped in some foodstuff in Bettada Bidu village of HD Kote Taluk.

The incident comes close on the heels of the death of a pregnant elephant in Kerala’s Palakkad district after it ate a pineapple filled with firecrackers.

As per sources, the cow belonging to Narashimhe Gowda, a resident of Bettadabidu, was being grazed in the nearby area. The cow ate a ball of explosive material wrapped in some edible substance and it exploded in the cow’s mouth.

It is gathered that some miscreants had purposefully kept the ball of explosive material wrapped in some edible substance. Due to the impact of the explosion, the lower jaw of the cow got ripped off and died after it stopped responding to the treatment.
