Mysuru teen live streams suicide on Facebook, asks users to like her video

Mysuru: A 18-year-old girl from Mysuru allegedly committed suicide by consuming pills and streamed the entire episode on Facebook Live.
The victim Yasmin Taj is a resident of Cauvery town of Bannimantapa.
In the video, Yasmin says that despite putting in a lot of efforts she has been lagging in her studies. “I am facing health issues because of which I can’t focus on studies and have been unable to attend college regularly. I did not get hall ticket for preparatory exams due to low attendance,” says Yasmin in the video.
“I wanted to become a lawyer or a singer. But it has become impossible to fulfil those dreams. No one liked me when I was alive at least like my video after my death,” she pleads in the video before consuming anti-depressant pills and committing suicide.
It is gathered that Yasmin has been suffering from mental depression and was undergoing treatment for the same.
A case has been registered at Mattalagiri police station.
