Need to open Shiradi Ghat road early: Sadananda Gowda

Puttur: Reports claiming that the Shiradi Ghat road will have to remain closed for six months is really serious. I have already spoken to the state PWD minister on the issue and urged himto take steps and restore the road, opening it for traffic at the earliest, informed union minister, D V Sadananda Gowda speaking to media after exercising his franchise for the municipal election at Haradi School here on Friday August 31st.
“Closure of this road for long will create communication problem between the coast and other parts of the state. Normal life of the people will be thrown out of gear. It will also have an impact on the economic condition of the state. Therefore, this road should be opened for traffic as soon as possible,” he observed.
Predicting on the urban local bodies election Gowda said that he was confident that BJP will win 60 percent of the seats. He also exuded confidence of his party winning over 23 out of 31 seats in Puttur city municipality.
