No one can roam around with gun in hand on streets of Delhi: NSA Ajit Doval

New Delhi: In the backdrop of the violent clashes that have erupted in Delhi between pro and anti-CAA protesters since Sunday, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval sought to allay public fears and said that there there are enough forces on the ground
After reviewing the ground situation and meeting top police officers, Doval said that “no law-abiding citizen would be harmed anyway by anyone”.
“People were doubting the capabilities and intentions of Delhi Police. This needs to addressed. People need to trust the man in uniform,” Doval was quoted speaking to NDTV.
“Tough action would be taken against all miscreants. No one can roam around with gun in hand on streets of Delhi,” he added.
Residents of Bhajanpura-Yamuna Vihar and other violence-affected areas had expressed that there were inadequate forces to control that the rampaging mob. Also the police and security personnel are not doing anything, they alleged.
