Mangaluru: The city police commissioner TR Suresh clarified that there has not been any suspension of police officials for thrashing members of the public who were behaving in an unruly manner near Kallapu, during Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the city.

Commissioner said hours after rumours were spread that a police constable who was on duty during Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Mangaluru, was suspended for beating up Congress party members.

Speaking to a news channel, Suresh said that the police constable might have done it due to security concerns, and that he has suspended no one on this count.
