No talkies for Tulu cinema!

Coastalwood: This is a big problem being faced by the tulu cinema industry. It is causing much difficulty to the producers of the movies. For now, other than Jyothi Theater, tulu movies have not got screening opportunity from any other single screen theatre.
Since Prabath and Suchitra talkies have started following the multiplex model, it is becoming expensive for tulu movies. Also, there is an accusation from tulu cinema producers that opportunity is not being given for tulu films here.
Meanwhile, Central Theater is not showing any movies in its theater for now. Tulu cinema has been rarely shown at Ramakanti and Roopavanitheatres. Remaining, New Chitra and Platinum theatres have already stopped showing movies. Hence all producers are compelled to depend on Jyothi talkies alone. The demand amongst the producers for this theatre is at such extent that it has led to situations where the producers end up arguing albeit fighting amongst themselves.
Therefore it seems like the multiplexes are the only support of tulu cinemas. But, since only profit-and-loss calculations occur here, it is causing yet another problem to the producers.
