Bengaluru: Yet another shocking incident by an Ola cab driver allegedly watching porn and misbehaving with a woman passenger has been reported in the city.

After the woman filed a plaint, the Cubbon Park police have seized the vehicle with registration number KA-53, C-9192, but the accused driver, Devasamoliya managed to flee from the spot.

It has been reported that when the victim, booked the cab on August 23 and when the car halted at the Vidhana Soudha signal, the driver started playing lewd videos on his mobile phone, putting the woman in an awkward position.

The lady instantly called up the Ola customer care number and registered a complaint but, to her dismay, they did not initiate any action. Seeing no other option, the lady lodged a complaint with the Cubbon Park police, who are now on the look out for the accused.

Reacting to this, an Ola statement said, “We are shocked and deeply disturbed by this incident, and have immediately removed the driver’s access to the platform. We are standing by our customer and have extended full assistance to the police in their ongoing investigation.”

An FIR has been registered by Cubbon Park Police Station under 354A (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code. The car (KA53 C9192) has been taken into custody while Devasomalia is yet to be arrested.
