One held with heroin worth Rs 23 lakh

Mahrajganj (UP): A man has been arrested with heroin worth Rs 23 lakh from Sonauli area on Indo-Nepal border here by a joint team of Sashstra Seema Bal (SSB) and Sonauli police, a senior official said today.
The accused, identified as Akram Hussain of Nautanwa district of Mahrajganj, was arrested last night during a routine checking and 110 gram of heroin worth Rs 23 lakh was recovered from him, SSB Inspector Raja Murad of Sonauli check post said. He has been booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
