Chikkamagaluru: A man was killed and six others injured after the car they were travelling in rammed into a tree at Gedlahalli village here.
The deceased, identified as Parameshwarappa is a resident of Malleshwara village near Kaduru here. The injured were admitted to nearby hospitals.
It is gathered that Parameshwarappa and others had gone to pay their last respects to Shivakumara Swami at the Siddaganga Mutt and were on returning to Kaduru when the accident took place.
A case has been registered with the police.
