Oppn leaders blame govt for surging Covid cases at all-party meet

Bengaluru: Opposition leaders slammed the state government over its handling of the Covid-19 crisis in the state and blamed the governance for the surging coronavirus cases.
The all-party meeting, chaired by Karnataka Revenue Minister R Ashok with Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa attending virtually witnessed a heated discussion the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the state.
Health Minister Sudhakar briefed about the measures taken by government to control spread of virus at the meeting. Availabilty of bed, enforcement of Section 144 in Bengaluru were among the things discussed at the meeting.
Ponting out at the surging cases in Bengaluru, Opposition leaders questioned the government’s claim that everything is being handled.
When opposition leaders were blaming the state government, R Ashok intervened and said that we are not here to fight or argue, our only aim is to curb the spread of covid-19 in the state
Former minister Ramalinga Reddy suggested government to make the necessary arrangements in case there is another lock down.
