New Delhi/Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, February 23 condoled the death of five people in the gelatin sticks explosion at Hirenagavalli village in the district here.
Taking to Twitter Narendra Modi wrote, “Pained by the loss of lives due to a mishap at Chikkaballapur in Karnataka. Condolences to the bereaved families. Praying that the injured recover quickly.”

Five people have been killed and one injured after gelatin sticks exploded at Hirenagavalli village in the district here.
This comes a month after a huge explosion of gelatin sticks rocked Shivamogga.
The five deceased in the explosion have been identified as crusher engineer Umakant, computer operator R Gangadhar, weigher Murula, watchmen Mahesh, and a local Ramu.
The explosion occurred within Peresandra police station limits.
