Mangaluru: Students of a government primary school in Sambar Thota near Mudipu are being lauded for their patriotic spirit after a video of them singing the national anthem in heavy rains went viral on social media.

The incident is reported to have occurred during the flag hoisting ceremony held at the government primary school in Sambar Thota near Mudipu on the occasion of India’s Independence Day.

In the video, around 16 students wearing uniforms are seen singing the national anthem, and saluting the national flag when it starts to rain heavily. The children, however, seem unfazed and finish singing the national anthem before running towards school building to protect themselves from the rain.
