Perpetrators of Bengaluru rape case will not be spared: BSY

Bengaluru: After Bengaluru Police arrested six people in connection with a case of alleged sexual assault and torture of a woman, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa asserted that no perpetrator will be spared and that the state government was probing every possible angle of this ‘inhuman act’.
Yediyurappa said, “We will ensure they (perpetrators) get the toughest punishment. The probe will be conducted without any interference. We are going to furnish all information to the court directly.”
Home Minister Basavraj Bommai said, ” “This is a joint operation of Assam Police, Union Home Ministry and Karnataka. Assam police and Union Home Ministry have provided the required support and lead while we have acted swiftly on the ground.”
Five illegal Bangladeshi immigrants were arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly brutalising a woman by stripping and raping her, a video of which has gone viral.
According to police sources, the video is claimed to have surfaced from the ‘deep web’ and is now circulating through different digital platforms.
