Police open fire at rowdy sheeter in Jalahalli

Bengaluru: The Mahalaxmi layout police on Tuesday morning opened fire at a rowdy-sheeter after he tied to evade his arrest.

Acting on a tip off a team of police from Mahalaxmi layout had gone to arrest the rowdy sheeter, Bharat alis Bobby from near Jalahalli here on Tuesday morning. Upon seeing the police Bharath attacked a constable whereafter the police shot him in the leg.

Constable Umesh was also injured during the incident.

Bharat was accused in more than ten cases.
